L'esprit & la vision
Our ethos

What drives us

SGPSO is open-minded and works every day to ensure that the GPSO is a New Line that is useful to everyone, modern, ambitious, flexible, eco-friendly, exemplary, co-created and virtuous.

In practice, this means that SGPSO promotes:

  • The participation of the public from civil society, with a view to promoting intelligence and territorial well-being, by organising the conditions for dialogue to integrate the New Line into its territory and its time. In practical terms, with an open mind, the aim is to create spaces and processes for (i) education and dialogue, (ii) the creation of shared knowledge, (iii) the creation of consensus and the construction of disagreement, and (iv) the creation of sustainable development and rebound actions;
  • Involvement, at various stages of the project’s design, of organisations or individuals who wish to be involved, in particular through the planned monitoring centres on socio-economic, environmental and mobility issues; site visits aimed at different audiences, including young people, professionals and the media in particular; the participation of environmental associations in studies and field operations, and then in their monitoring; the organisation of events and meetings throughout the construction and commissioning phases; the methodological consideration of those who do not have a say, such as nature, the soil or future generations;
  • Responsive project management, incorporating new developments in response to suggestions for improving the project;
  • An exemplary environmental policy on all fronts, during the construction phase and the years of operation;
  • The management and benefits of urban changes and developments made possible by the New Line;
  • Efficient connections with public and active transport in all areas around the stations and the organisation of better access for everyone, especially the most disadvantaged and those who have difficulty getting around;
  • The diversification of funding sources, with new ideas such as the involvement of motorways;
  • Responsible and honest communication about what is happening, including with the public;
  • The financing of actions in the areas concerned, notably through a territorial solidarity fund available in 2025, particularly in the environmental, cultural, social and economic fields;
  • The active organisation of modal shift from carbon-based passenger and freight transport to rail.

SGPSO promotes many other issues and generally takes into account all ideas and actions to improve the New Line and its place in time and space.
